Bill Kristol of the Weekly Standard, Vice President Cheney, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, assistant Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz, among others, figure prominently in this group.

The Jewish Defense League is one of the most militant Zionist groups. This group has been periodically engulfed in accusations of violence. Their first leader, Rabbi Meir Kahane was shot to death in New York City over a decade ago; Their second leader, Irv Rubin, died in prison circa late 2002 in California under -- according to some -- suspicious circumstances (throat cut after having been thrown, or having jumped, over a balcony railing in the prison) on the morning he was to go on trial.
