Jones memorial

A fellowship service will remember Nathaniel Jones, 41, noon-3 p.m. Saturday, with a memorial service immediately following.

The public is invited to attend the services at Allen Temple AME Church at 7030 Reading Road.

Action Network

New York Baptist minister and activist Rev. Al Sharpton on Thursday called for a national day of remembrance for Nathaniel Jones.

Sharpton urged any organization affiliated with his National Action Network to go to the police headquarters in their city at 3 p.m. Sunday and light a candle in remembrance of Jones.

Sharpton also encouraged all churches to have a moment of silence and to pray for both Jones and the police.

Citizens for Justice

Concerned Citizens for Justice says it will protest WLW-AM talk-show host Bill Cunningham today between 1 and 3 p.m. in front of the station at 1111 St. Gregory St., in Mount Adams.

The group takes issue with comments Cunningham has made in regard to the Jones case.

Baptist Ministers

The Cincinnati Baptist Ministers Alliance called for a peaceful march to protest Jones' death.

The march will start at 2 p.m. Sunday at Cincinnati City Hall, 801 Plum St.
