A clarification concerning the Pentagon photos article

9/30/03

Dear readers:

Recently, Real News 24/7 ran a featured story, 9-11 Pentagon photos show mystery engine part, concerning FEMA photos showing an airplane part outside the part of the Pentagon after the attack on September 11, 2001. The significance of such photos, wrote Christopher Bollyn, the author of that article, was to counter "the lack of evidence that a large passenger jet smashed into the reinforced concrete and stone wall of the massive building, [which had caused] a host of conspiracy theories have cropped up. (The best known such theory is that put forth on the "Hunt the Boeing" webpage.)

In talking to me about the Bollyn article, Jim Condit Jr. expressed some puzzlement over what he was supposed to be looking at in the photos and, frankly, he has a point, because there is not a good deal of explanation accompanying the pictures. That being the case, the likelihood is that others, too, have had trouble with them.

To remedy that, I am submitting an article from www.whatreallyhappened.com that has many more photos and a more in-depth anaylsis. In my opinion, The final word on the plane that crashed into the Pentagon really lives up to its name by debunking the claims that either a missile or a truck—and not a airliner—crashed into the Pentagon. But that's just my opinion and you'll need to decide for yourselves. Certainly, though, it is, if nothing else, the most detailed attempt at a refutation.

It's important to note that this article in no way rules out the possibility that the attack was perpetrated by parties other box-cutter wielding Arabs. In fact, Michael Rivero, who runs that website, openly believes that  the Mossad and a rogue element within the United States government can be linked to the 9-11 terrorist acts.

Following his article, Rivero cites a criticism from Carol Valentine, who has another conspiracy exposure website. Rivero includes a link to an article on her site, "THe Flight of the Bumble Plane," attacking him (http://www.public-action.com/911/bumble.html). He, in turn, attacks her. Curiously, in both cases, the the person being assailed is accused of being false opposition and a government plant, being used to spread disinformation. Personally, I wish both of these people would acknowledge the possibility that someone can disagree with them without it being done maliciously. One thing that is clear about the conspiracy is that it rejoices in seeing the opposition fight amongst themselves: divide and conquer.   And how much easier to conquer, when the opposition divides itself by petty wranglings.
